Reviews about Sunshine Furniture
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆December 20, 2019, by Mike HPurchased a couch in the store from the showroom on 02/04/2018. I was told it would be 4 weeks before they could deliver. 4 weeks came and went and nothing - not even a phone call. I called them on 03/08/2018 and was told it would be available at the end of this month (March) - meaning an additional 4 weeks. This is unacceptable. To double the delivery estimate is ridiculous. I was told it was an issue with the manufacturer. WELL then why don't you call them and tell them that you will pull their products from the showroom until they can better their customer service? Sunshine Furniture - You CHOSE to sell these products. It is your responsibility to hold true to your customers, or offer some alternative. You did nothing but tell me it wasn't your fault and pass the buck. You actually had the audacity to tell me that you are waiting on the manufacturer just like the customer. Well, you have an entire showroom full of furniture, meanwhile my living room is empty. This statement about waiting just like me holds no water and is a ridiculous parallel to make. Also, I was told they had 130-some orders for this $1100 sofa waiting for the manufacturer. That is about $150,000. So, they have taken $150,000 (more if you count the money paid for extended warranty and delivery fees) and have done NOTHING but punch a few numbers into a computer and slide my debit card. There is a term for when you take someone's money and offer nothing in exchange but broken promises - it is called robbery/theft. Take some responsibility. At least have your salespeople, when something is on back-order to not make promises on delivery, be honest with the customer by telling them that it could be months before the product is available for delivery. But, you'd rather have the money with no concern for the buyer. The truth of the matter is that you want to take the customer's money and don't care about what happens after the money has exchanged hands. There was further proof of this when I was waiting for 10 minutes for someone to answer my call about an issue with a purchase. But, if I walk into the showroom, there are 10-20 salesman standing, staring at the entrance waiting to jump down my throat and follow me around like a hungry puppy pressuring me to spend money. Also, I tried to buy a clearance, last-available floor-model couch while I was in the showroom. They would not sell it for a discounted price because "It is still new and nothing wrong with it" meanwhile not telling me that there is no warranty available on floor-models (found this out later) and besides that, how many times has it been reclined and sat in - probably more in the few weeks it was on the floor than it would be over the course of a year in my living room. This company only cares about pocketing cash. Customer service sucks. Care for the customer sucks. Interest in following through on their end of the deal sucks. Here is an idea for you: If a promised delivery time comes and goes for a customer, call them and apologize. Then offer to have them either wait longer or come in and choose a different product. Also, you should only take half the money of something back-ordered and the other half upon delivery. That would be fair and motivate your staff and your vendors to follow through on their promises. I know this review sounds harsh, but I am paid to do a job and I do it, 110% without being asked. I work hard. Many of us working class do. It pisses me off when I see people and companies being lazy, not following through and not equally or more diligently doing their part for the money which I worked hard to earn. Gave you a chance, but I'll be spending the $2000-$5000 on the rest of the furniture for my house elsewhere.
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★July 12, 2019, by Tara MarkhamThis is one of the better furniture stores in Tulsa as far as the variety of furniture styles. A lot of furniture stores in Tulsa seem to carry the same items or style of furniture which was becoming a frustrating experience for us. We bought some great office furniture here. Another plus to this store is that the sales people on the floor don't zero in on you and actually give you space to shop and think for yourself. They were all very personable too. It's a huge store with tons of furniture. It used to be a Target store so that should give you an idea of how big it is. We would definitely shop there again.
